Chapter 5 - 'Dasara Utsav'

India celebrates its biggest 'Dasara Festival' at Mysuru. I wished to attend it once. I started my journey and reached Mysuru.

The city was full of people. There were approximately five to ten lakh people around. The state chief minister was also there. The security was very tight. I reached at the gate of Mysuru Palace and tried to enter the palace to witness the festival.

I didn't have any ticket or entry pass. I inquired for the tickets availability but I was facing difficulty in communicating with the people. I should had booked online ticket in advance. But I was not aware of the same. I tried my best but couldn't get the entry ticket.

I was helpless. I gave up. Finally, I decided to return.

The moment I was about to return, a gentleman came and gave his VVIP entry ticket to me. I did not ask him for the ticket. But he himself came. I did not know how he got to know about my concern. I asked him if I needed to pay any amount for the ticket, but that person refused. He was a noble person. 

I was struggling to get even an ordinary ticket, but luckily I got the VVIP ticket.

I entered inside and witnessed the celebrations of the Dasara Utsav. The tableau of the goddess 'Chamundeshwari Devi' passed in front of me. I felt blessed.

It was goddess's blessings to me, which allowed me to get the VVIP entry ticket.
