Chapter 13 - 'Lord Bramha'

I needed to attend a three-day workshop in Jaipur. I left Bengaluru at midnight because I needed to catch an early morning flight. Upon arrival, I reached at Jaipur hotel safely.

I attended the first day of the workshop, but I was exhausted. The next day’s session was scheduled to start at 9:00 AM, and I could not miss it.

It takes around 3–4 hours to reach 'Pushkar' from Jaipur. I thought about it a lot. Since the temple opens at 5:00 AM, I realized that even if I had darshan at exactly 5:00 AM, I might still be late for the workshop. I didn't want to be the kind of person who arrives late and defaults on their commitments.

However, I was desperate to visit 'Pushkar'.

I folded my hands, prayed to God, and booked a taxi for midnight.

I took a bath at 12:00 AM, the taxi arrived on time, and I departed from my hotel in Jaipur.

I reached the 'Pushkar Temple' in the early morning and was the very first person at the temple gate.

Since I had time, I decided to explore. I visited 'Pushkar Lake', where I sprinkled holy water on myself and took a sip. The sun had not yet risen; it was the peaceful 'Brahma Kaal' hour of the morning.

I went back to the temple and stood in the queue. There were still about 30–45 minutes left before the doors opened. As time passed, more people arrived, but they did not follow the etiquette of standing in a line.

When the temple gates finally opened, everyone ran. I thought to myself, "I reached here first, yet now people are pushing ahead for an early darshan." I found myself behind them and felt it wasn't fair, so I also ran. I won the race.

I stood exactly in front of the idol of 'Lord Brahma'. I had a wonderful darshan and witnessed the morning aarti right before my eyes. I was even the first person to receive prasad from the priest.

It was one of the best moments of my life.

After spending some time in the temple, I started my return journey. I reached my hotel around 8:20 AM and had breakfast. In the end, I didn't miss my workshop at all. It was truly magical.

It was all the blessings of 'Lord Brahma'.
